How do we know God's promises can never fail?

Answered in 1 source

God's promises cannot fail because it is impossible for Him to lie (Hebrews 6:18).

The assurance of God's promises is rooted in His immutable nature. According to Hebrews 6:18, it is 'impossible for God to lie,' providing believers with strong consolation. When God makes a promise, He does so based on His unwavering character and the redemptive work of Christ, who perfectly fulfills what God has ordained. His promises, confirmed by an oath through the sacrifice of Christ, reassure us that they are as certain as His nature—immutable and faithful. Thus, we can trust in God's word as our ultimate source of hope.
