How do we know God's promises will be fulfilled?

Answered in 3 sources

We know God's promises will be fulfilled through His faithfulness as demonstrated throughout Scripture.

The assurance of God's promise fulfillment is deeply rooted in His character and historical engagements with humanity as revealed in the Bible. Psalm 37 reassures believers that when they commit their ways to the Lord, He will act on their behalf. This reflects both the covenantal faithfulness of God and His providential care. Scripture is filled with numerous examples of God's faithfulness to His promises, as seen with Abraham, Moses, and the prophets.

Moreover, the psalm encourages us to trust in God amidst uncertainty and injustice. The declaration that 'He will make your righteousness shine like the dawn' reinforces that God's promises are not only spiritual in nature but also practical in the lives of believers. This confidence in God’s inherent reliability helps believers to endure life's challenges, knowing that God is true to His word. Historically, the fulfillment of prophecies, the resurrection of Christ, and the workings of the Holy Spirit in believers’ lives further affirm that God’s promises will endure and come to fruition in His perfect timing.
