How do we know God sent His Son to save us?

Answered in 2 sources

We know God sent His Son for our salvation because it is affirmed in John 3:17, where it states His purpose was not to condemn but to save.

According to John 3:17, 'For God sent not His Son into the world to condemn the world, but that the world through Him might be saved.' This foundational truth reveals God's intention in sending Christ; rather than bringing condemnation, He came to provide salvation. This mission is rooted in God's profound love for His people, a love that prompted Him to send His only Son as a sacrifice. The success of this mission is guaranteed by the authority and power of Christ, as He has been given the right to save all whom the Father has given Him. Therefore, we have assurance that Christ’s coming was purposeful and effective for the redemption of His elect.
