How do we know if our salvation is genuine?

Answered in 1 source

Genuine salvation is evidenced by a transformed life; mere rituals or words are not enough (Romans 10:9).

The assurance of salvation is rooted in the authenticity of one's belief and its corresponding transformation in life. Romans 10:9 states that true belief involves both confessing Jesus as Lord and genuinely believing in the heart. When such belief is authentic, it manifests as a changed life characterized by repentance and commitment to Christ. The presence of ongoing, tangible change in one's actions and attitudes is a key indicator of true conversion.
