How do we know if someone is elect?

Answered in 1 source

Indicators of election include genuine faith, a life transformed by the Holy Spirit, and a desire to spread the Gospel.

The assurance of one's election is often seen through the evidences of faith, such as a genuine belief in the Gospel, a transformed life, and a persistent commitment to Jesus Christ. In 1 Thessalonians 1:5-10, Paul describes the Thessalonians as being imitators of Christ, receiving the Word despite tribulation, and showing their faith through works and love. These transformations and actions exemplify the work of the Holy Spirit in the lives of the elect, who are also characterized by their desire to evangelize and serve the living God. Thus, the fruits of faith and obedience serve as confirmation of God's electing grace.
