How do we know Jesus Christ is the fulfillment of the Ark's symbolism?

Answered in 1 source

Jesus fulfills the symbolism of the Ark as both God and man, the perfect mediator and sacrifice.

The Ark of the Covenant is filled with rich symbolism that points to Jesus Christ. It was designed with wood, representing His humanity, and gold, representing His divinity, illustrating the mystery of the God-Man. The Ark served as God's throne among His people, just as Jesus is our intercessor at the right hand of the Father. Without the Ark, the whole tabernacle service would have been meaningless, just as Christ's work as our High Priest and sacrificial Lamb provides the only meaningful access to God. Thus, the Ark directly typifies Christ, fulfilling its purpose as our redeemer.
