How do we know Jesus Christ is the Savior?

Answered in 4 sources

We know Jesus Christ is the Savior through His divine character, redemptive work, and by affirming His identity as the Messiah (1 John 2:22).

Jesus Christ is identified as the Savior through His character and the significant roles He fulfills in salvation history. As mentioned in Scripture, He is both Lord and Christ, asserting His deity and authoritative position. In John 20:28, Thomas acknowledges Jesus as 'My Lord and my God,' which affirms His divine nature. Furthermore, denying that Jesus is the Christ is a critical error, as stated in 1 John 2:22. Understanding His full identity allows believers to grasp the depth of salvation offered through Him.
