How do we know Jesus forgives our sins?

Answered in 2 sources

Jesus forgives sins through His sacrificial death, as seen in numerous biblical accounts of His forgiveness to sinners (Luke 7:48).

The assurance of Jesus' willingness to forgive sins is powerfully illustrated through several biblical narratives. For instance, in the account of the sinful woman who anointed Jesus' feet, He remarked, 'Her sins, which are many, are forgiven' (Luke 7:48). This statement affirms that no sin is too great for His grace. Jesus demonstrated that forgiveness is available to all who recognize their sinful state and seek His mercy. Those who come humbly before Him, acknowledging their guilt and seeking forgiveness, can rest assured that Jesus grants them a clean slate through His redemptive work on the cross.
