How do we know Jesus is compassionate towards sinners?

Answered in 1 source

Jesus is depicted in the Gospels as always welcoming and healing those in need without turning them away.

Throughout Scripture, particularly in Mark 6, we see that Jesus never turned away a needy sinner. The narrative exemplifies that His heart is inclined towards those who are broken and desperate. Unlike the proud or religious leaders, who often faced condemnation, the sick and suffering found hope in Him. This characteristic of Jesus is vital for understanding the nature of His ministry, which was to seek and save the lost. His compassion is not just a characteristic but is fundamental to His mission, showing that no one is too lost or unworthy to receive His mercy if they come in faith.
