How do we know Jesus is the fulfillment of the Old Testament?

Throughout the Old Testament, various figures and events act as types and shadows pointing to Jesus Christ. From being the Passover Lamb in Exodus to the kinsman redeemer in Ruth, every story intertwines with Christ's redemptive mission. Christ Himself affirmed this connection by stating that the Scriptures testify about Him, indicating that understanding the Old Testament is essential for comprehending His purpose. The New Testament writers also explicitly connect these dots, confirming that the Messiah has come in the person of Jesus, fulfilling God's promises and establishing His kingdom.
