How do we know salvation by grace alone is true?

Answered in 7 sources

Salvation by grace alone is affirmed in Scripture, which teaches that justification is through faith in Christ, apart from works.

The truth of salvation by grace alone is clearly articulated throughout the New Testament. In Galatians 2:16, Paul states that a person is not justified by the works of the law but by faith in Jesus Christ. This principle is reinforced in Romans 11:6, where Paul declares that if by grace, then it cannot be based on works; otherwise, grace would no longer be grace. These scriptures eliminate any notion of human merit in the process of salvation and demonstrate that our relationship with God is founded entirely on His unmerited favor and the redemptive work of Christ.
