How do we know salvation is by grace and not by works?

Answered in 18 sources

Salvation is by grace alone, as God gives eyes to see the truth, revealing that our works cannot earn His favor (Ephesians 2:8-9).

According to the Scriptures, salvation is not a result of our works but is a gift of God's grace (Ephesians 2:8-9). The preacher emphasizes that any belief in salvation through works demonstrates spiritual blindness. The elect are those given sight by God to recognize their complete inability to merit salvation. John 6:39 illustrates that Jesus came to save those given to Him by the Father, reinforcing that it is God's will and action that leads to salvation. Streams of grace and genuine faith flow from this unmerited favor, enabling believers to trust completely in Christ's righteousness instead of their own.
