How do we know that all have sinned?

Answered in 10 sources

We know all have sinned because Scripture states that through one man's disobedience, sin entered the world, and thus death passed upon all men.

The certainty that all have sinned is grounded in Scripture, particularly Romans 5:12, which teaches that sin entered the world through Adam, resulting in death for all humanity. The psalmist acknowledges not only the depths of personal sin but also the communal nature of depravity. Ephesians 2 affirms that every person is born as a child of disobedience, under the wrath of God, illustrating that sin is woven into the very fabric of human existence, affecting all people without exception (Romans 3:23). Recognizing this truth is fundamental for understanding the need for mercy and forgiveness.
