How do we know that children are important to Jesus?

Answered in 1 source

Jesus demonstrated His love for children by welcoming them, stating that the Kingdom of Heaven belongs to those like them.

In the Gospels, we see a profound moment where Jesus is approached with little children, and His disciples attempt to prevent them from coming to Him. Jesus, however, rebukes His disciples and emphasizes the importance of children, saying, 'Let the little children come to me, and do not hinder them, for to such belongs the Kingdom of Heaven.' This not only illustrates His tender care for the most vulnerable but also provides assurance that these children's souls are precious to Him. His willingness to bless and pray for them indicates that they hold a special place in the Kingdom, reflecting their inherent worth and the complete dependence they illustrate before God.
