How do we know that Christ is our authority?

Answered in 1 source

Christ is our authority as He is the head of the church and the Savior of His people (Ephesians 5:23).

The authority of Christ is affirmed throughout Scripture, particularly in Ephesians 5:23, where it states that the husband is the head of the wife, just as Christ is the head of the church. This illustrates that Christ has a sovereign role as the leader and protector of His body, the church. His authority is demonstrated through His sacrifice and love for His people; He laid down His life to redeem them. Understanding Christ's headship over the church is essential for recognizing our need to submit not only to Him but also to one another as part of our Christian walk. All authority is ultimately found in Him, and as believers, we are called to honor and follow His leading.
