How do we know that Christ is preeminent in all things?

Answered in 2 sources

We know Christ is preeminent in all things through Scripture, particularly Colossians 1:19, which teaches that all fullness dwells in Him.

The affirmation of Christ's preeminence is solidified in various passages of the Bible which delineate His unique position as God-Man. Specifically, Colossians 1:19 states, 'For it pleased the Father that in Him should all fullness dwell.' This not only claims that Christ embodies all of God's attributes and qualities but also underscores His role as mediator between God and man. His preeminence is evidenced by His authority in creation, His role in our redemption, and His governing of the church. Through His resurrection as the firstborn from the dead, we also see the promise of our own resurrection, further establishing His sovereign preeminence in salvation and eternal life.
