How do we know that Christ is the pearl of great price?

Answered in 3 sources

Christ is the pearl of great price because He embodies the fullness of God's blessings and salvation for believers.

The parable of the pearl of great price in Matthew 13:45-46 illustrates that when a merchant finds a priceless pearl, he sells all he owns to acquire it. This signifies how believers, upon discovering the true value of Christ, are compelled to yield everything for Him. According to the teachings of Scripture, all spiritual blessings are found in Christ (Ephesians 1:3) and He is the manifestation of God's glory and grace. For the believer, Christ must surpass all other pursuits, becoming the focus of their lives, which is evident in their willingness to 'sell all' in recognition of His supreme worth.
