How do we know that Christ's redemption is effective?

Answered in 7 sources

Christ's redemption is effective because He fulfilled the requirements of the law and satisfied God's justice through His obedience and sacrificial death.

The effectiveness of Christ's redemption is rooted in His perfect obedience to God's law and His sacrificial death. Romans 3:24-26 emphasizes that God is both just and the justifier of those who have faith in Jesus. In the narrative of Ruth, we see that Boaz exemplifies the qualities necessary for a redeemer: he is willing, able, and legally entitled to redeem Ruth’s inheritance. Similarly, Christ, being fully God and fully man, met all legal requirements to redeem sinners. By living a sinless life and suffering the death that our sin deserved, Christ provided a complete atonement for His people, and through faith in Him, believers can rest assured that their sins are forgiven and their reconciliation with God is secured.
