How do we know that Christ's righteousness is essential for salvation?

Scripture clearly teaches that no sinner can be justified by their own works; rather, it is only through the righteousness of Christ that we can stand before a holy God. Romans 3:23 states that all have sinned and fall short of the glory of God, indicating that human effort cannot achieve the perfection required by God. Christ's righteousness was imputed to believers, making them acceptable before God, as emphasized in 2 Corinthians 5:21 where it states, 'He made Him who knew no sin to be sin for us, that we might become the righteousness of God in Him.' Thus, trusting in Christ's righteousness is the only way to be saved.
