How do we know that God has chosen us?

Answered in 12 sources

We can know we are chosen by observing our faith in the gospel and our submission to God's truth as taught by His ministers.

The assurance of being chosen by God can often be seen in one's response to the preaching of the gospel. In 1 Corinthians 4, Paul points out that the believers' responsiveness to his ministry serves as evidence of their election. This is not merely a matter of intellectual assent, but involves an unexplainable confidence and transformation within the believer, leading them to submit to God's truth and the authority of His Word. Those who are of God will inherently hear and recognize His voice through the gospel – this is a powerful affirmation of their chosen status in Christ.
