How do we know that God is trustworthy?

Answered in 5 sources

God's trustworthiness is rooted in His nature as the Creator, a God who cannot lie, and His sovereignty in fulfilling promises (Numbers 23:19).

We can know that God is trustworthy for several reasons. First, He is our Creator and sustainer, deserving our trust based solely on His authority and power. Second, God's nature is that He is truth; He cannot lie or make promises He does not keep (Numbers 23:19). This assurance is elaborated in Titus 1:2, which affirms that God has made promises of eternal life that He will fulfill. Finally, God's sovereignty assures us that He will bring His purposes to pass, further demonstrating that His promises are reliable and true.
