How do we know that God will do us good?

Answered in 1 source

We know God will do us good because it is His promise and part of His unchanging nature.

God repeatedly promises in Scripture that He will act for the good of His people. In Jeremiah 29:11, He reassures His people by saying He knows the thoughts He has toward them, thoughts of peace and not of evil. This commitment is rooted in His immutable character; He cannot do anything that is not good. The consistent refrain through Scripture is that God works all things together for good for those who love Him and are called according to His purpose (Romans 8:28). Believers can trust that even when circumstances seem to indicate otherwise, God's providence is inherently for our good based on His faithful character and promises.
