How do we know that grace is more important than the law?

Answered in 1 source

Grace is revealed through Jesus Christ, showing us God's love and mercy beyond the strict requirements of the law.

The law, while holy and good, cannot provide grace or reveal God's deeper character, which includes love and mercy. Paul explains that grace and truth came through Jesus Christ, indicating that God's true nature is found in Him rather than in the law's commands. The law sets forth what man ought to be but offers no means of attaining that righteousness. In contrast, grace through Christ fulfills the law's demands on behalf of sinners, demonstrating God's mercy and lovingkindness. This is why understanding grace is essential for salvation and spiritual life.
