How do we know that Jesus' advocacy is effective?

Answered in 1 source

We know that Jesus' advocacy is effective because He is the righteous one who fulfills the demands of justice while providing grace.

The effectiveness of Jesus' advocacy stems from His righteousness and His atoning sacrifice. According to the Scriptures, Jesus Christ is both fully justified and without sin, which means that His plea before the Father not only addresses our guilt but also upholds God's justice. As our advocate, He assures that our sins cannot be charged against us due to the satisfaction He made on the cross. This is what Paul emphasizes in Romans 8:33-34, stating, 'Who shall lay anything to the charge of God's elect? It is God that justifieth.' Thus, every believer can find assurance in Christ's advocacy as He continually represents us before the Father.
