How do we know that Jesus is our Advocate before God?

Answered in 5 sources

Jesus is our Advocate because He represents us before the Father, interceding with His perfect righteousness.

In 1 John 2:1, we are assured that Jesus Christ is our Advocate with the Father. This means that He stands in our place, representing us and interceding for us based on His righteousness. He is uniquely qualified to be our advocate because He is sinless—'the Righteous One.' Every case He represents results in acquittal because He offers His own blood as the propitiation for our sins (1 John 2:2). This highlights the essence of sovereign grace, where Christ's work alone secures our salvation and acceptance by God.
