How do we know that Jesus is the true prophet?

Answered in 7 sources

We know Jesus is the true prophet because His words and actions fulfill the prophecies of the Scriptures and display divine authority.

The authenticity of Jesus as the true prophet is affirmed through the fulfillment of Old Testament prophecies and His miraculous works. According to Acts 3:22, Peter cites Moses' prophecy about the coming prophet, identifying Jesus as this fulfillment. Additionally, the life of Jesus is marked by signs and wonders that validate His authority, establishing Him as the ultimate mediator who reconciles God with humanity. His ability to forgive sins and His power over death are evidence of His divine nature and role as the promised prophet who truly knows and reveals the Father.
