How do we know that Jesus must save us?

Answered in 1 source

We know Jesus must save us because He is the only mediator and Savior ordained by God for our redemption.

Acts 4:12 declares that there is no other name under heaven by which we must be saved, emphasizing the exclusivity of Jesus as our Savior. His role as the mediator highlights that salvation is not achievable through human effort but is the work of God through Christ alone (1 Timothy 2:5). Moreover, in John 17:4, Jesus affirms, "I have finished the work which thou gavest me to do," indicating that His mission on Earth was to accomplish the salvation of His people, confirming the necessity of His salvific work. His successful completion of the Father’s business guarantees that all for whom He died will be saved.
