How do we know that only the Bible is an authority in the church?

The Bible asserts its authority as the infallible word of God, and Paul underscores this in Titus 1 when he advises Titus to teach 'the word as it has been taught.' This principle highlights that the church's foundation rests solely on Scripture, which is the ultimate authority for faith and practice. Any deviation from this is considered a departure from the truth that God revealed. A church that strays from biblical teaching is in danger of becoming a false assembly, sometimes described as a 'synagogue of Satan,' rather than a true church of Christ.
