How do we know that our prayers are effective?

Answered in 1 source

Our prayers are effective when they come from a heart of faith and are directed to God, rather than being mere repetitions.

Jesus teaches in Matthew 6 that effective prayer must come from the heart, not be mere recitations or repetitions. He contrasts the heartfelt prayers of believers with the empty prayers of Gentiles who think they will be heard for their many words (Matthew 6:7). Genuine prayer recognizes God as our Father and acknowledges our dependence on Him. It is about aligning our will with God's and seeking His glory rather than our own recognition. Ensuring our hearts are in the right place is crucial for our prayers to be deemed effective before God.
