How do we know that salvation comes through faith in Jesus?

Answered in 1 source

The New Testament consistently teaches that faith in Jesus is the only way to salvation.

The New Testament affirms repeatedly that salvation is through faith in Jesus Christ alone. In Acts 4:12, it states, 'And there is salvation in no one else, for there is no other name under heaven given among men by which we must be saved.' This exclusivity underscores the first point of salvation being dependent on God and His choice to save His elect. Romans 10:9-10 explains that if we confess with our mouth that Jesus is Lord and believe in our heart that God raised Him from the dead, we will be saved. This clearly shows that belief and confession are actions rooted in faith, demonstrating the importance of genuine belief for salvation.
