How do we know that salvation is secure?

Answered in 14 sources

Salvation is secure through the covenant established by God, the righteousness of Christ, and His ongoing intercession for us.

Our assurance of salvation is firmly based on the covenant of grace that God established before the foundation of the world. This covenant was fulfilled in the life, death, and resurrection of Jesus Christ, whose righteousness is imputed to us. Thus, we are seen as righteous in the eyes of God, accepted in the beloved. Furthermore, we take comfort in knowing that Christ continues to intercede for us as our advocate. As Romans 8:28-30 assures us, all things work together for good to those who love God, affirming the enduring nature of our salvation and the certainty of God's promise to preserve His people.
