How do we know that salvation is through faith in Christ?

Answered in 14 sources

Salvation is through faith in Christ because He fulfilled all conditions necessary for our righteousness and justification through His death and resurrection.

The basis of salvation rests in the person and work of Jesus Christ, who is both fully God and fully man. Romans 3:26 states that God can be just and the justifier of those who have faith in Jesus. This assurance is further corroborated by Ephesians 2:8-9, which clarifies that we are saved by grace through faith, and that not of ourselves; it is the gift of God. Our faith is a response enabled by God's grace, not a condition we must meet to earn salvation. As believers, we trust in Christ's finished work rather than our own efforts, affirming that He is the source of our acceptance before God.
