How do we know that the authority of Christ is supreme?

Answered in 1 source

Christ's authority is supreme because all power in heaven and earth is given to Him.

Christ's authority is one of His divine attributes that is revealed in the Gospels. In Matthew 28:18, Jesus explicitly states, 'All authority in heaven and on earth has been given to me.' This authority extends over all creation, including angels and the natural elements, as demonstrated by His ability to still storms and perform miracles. His commands are absolute, and He exercises His authority for the good of His people. As believers, we find comfort in His control over our lives and trust in His sovereign power during trials and tribulations.
