How do we know that we are preserved in Christ?

Answered in 3 sources

We can be assured of our preservation in Christ because His power secures our salvation, ensuring that we will not be lost.

Jude brings comforting reassurance in stating that believers are 'kept in Christ Jesus.' This preservation is not based on human effort but rather on the divine power of God. In John 10:28-29, Jesus proclaims that His sheep will never perish and that no one can snatch them out of His hand. This truth is foundational for understanding eternal security in the Reformed tradition, where the perseverance of the saints is seen as the work of God. It gives us confidence and peace to know that God actively guards His people, preserving them until the end. As Paul affirms in Romans 8:38-39, nothing can separate us from the love of God in Christ Jesus, emphasizing the strength of His commitment to our salvation.
