How do we know that we have eternal life in Christ?

Answered in 2 sources

Eternal life is assured to believers by the presence of Christ within them, signifying their resurrection from spiritual death.

In Romans 6:8-11, it reveals that believers have been united with Christ in His death and resurrection. Just as Christ was raised from the dead, believers are quickened, meaning given new life, alongside Him. This eternal life is not just future but begins the moment a person believes in Christ. John 3:36 states, 'He that believeth on the Son hath everlasting life.' It's vital to understand that eternal life is a quality of life that starts now, characterized by a relationship with Christ who is our life. The essence of eternal life is knowing God and the Son whom He has sent (John 17:3), hence affirming our eternal security in Him.
