How do we know the Holy Spirit is active in our lives?

Answered in 5 sources

The presence of the Holy Spirit in our lives is evidenced by our alignment with God's will and the production of spiritual fruit (Galatians 5:22-23).

Knowing the Holy Spirit is active in our lives can be discerned through the transformation of our character and actions towards God’s will. According to Romans 8:9, 'But you are not in the flesh, but in the Spirit, if indeed the Spirit of God dwells in you.' When the Holy Spirit dwells within us, we exhibit the fruit of the Spirit, including love, joy, and peace (Galatians 5:22-23). This spiritual fruit shows that our lives are being shaped to reflect the character of Christ, enabling us to please God.
