How do we know we are Christ's?

Answered in 2 sources

We are assured of belonging to Christ through God's donation, Christ's redemptive work, and our faithful dedication.

Being 'Christ's' is affirmed through multiple avenues according to Scripture. Firstly, we are given to Christ by the Father, which highlights God's sovereign choice in our salvation (John 6:37). Secondly, Christ's bloody purchase through His crucifixion secures our redemption, affirming that we were bought at a price (1 Corinthians 6:20). Finally, our dedication to serve Him embodies our commitment as His followers. By consecrating ourselves to Christ, we acknowledge His lordship in our lives.

This assurance is essential for our walk of faith. When trials and temptations arise, remembering that we belong to Christ enables us to resist sin and pursue holiness. Our identity as His holds us accountable not merely to ourselves but to Him. The truth of being Christ's signifies that we are part of His body, called to represent Him in the world.
