How do we know we are in God's love?

We know we are in God's love by remaining in love and by the confidence we have in Him, especially in facing judgment.

According to 1 John 4:18, perfect love casts out fear, meaning if we dwell in God's love, we can be confident before Him on the day of judgment. This confidence stems from understanding that through Christ's sacrificial love, we are accepted, and there is no condemnation for those who are in Christ Jesus (Romans 8:1). Therefore, our continual loving actions towards others become a litmus test of our position in God's love, affirming our identity as His children.
