How do we know we have saving faith?

Answered in 1 source

We know we have saving faith if Christ is precious to us and we respond to His call.

The Scripture provides signs to help us discern the presence of saving faith in our lives. For instance, 2 Corinthians 13:5 encourages believers to examine themselves to see whether they are in the faith. A fundamental evidence of saving faith is a love for Christ and a desire to hear His Word. Paul mentioned that 'Christ is in you, unless indeed you are disqualified' (2 Corinthians 13:5). Moreover, if you find Christ invaluable, as expressed in 1 Peter 2:7, 'To you who believe, He is precious,' that is a strong indication of genuine faith. Ultimately, the evidence of saving faith is a life transformed by the Holy Spirit, leading us to continually seek Christ and embrace His gospel.
