How does Jesus set us free?

Answered in 1 source

Jesus sets us free from sin and death through His sacrifice and resurrection.

The freedom that Jesus offers is twofold: freedom from the bondage of sin and freedom from the penalty of death. As stated in Romans 8:1, 'There is therefore now no condemnation to those who are in Christ Jesus.' His death on the cross paid the penalty for our sins, effectively removing our guilt and restoring our relationship with God. When we believe in Him, He liberates us from the power of sin and gives us new life through His resurrection, as seen in John 8:36, 'Therefore if the Son makes you free, you shall be free indeed.'
