What does it mean that Christ is our treasure?

Answered in 1 source

Christ is our treasure as He embodies all spiritual blessings and the fullness of our needs.

In Malachi 3:17, God refers to His people as His special treasure, reflecting the deep affection and value placed upon them. Christ, as our treasure, signifies that true worth and satisfaction come from Him, who fulfills every spiritual need, including righteousness, forgiveness, and eternal life. All we have or achieve is but rubbish compared to the surpassing worth of knowing Christ Jesus as our Lord (Philippians 3:8). Through Christ's victory and relationship, believers are assured of their identity and value as His peculiar people, enriching their lives in ways beyond earthly treasures.
