What does it mean that the world does not know God?

In John 15:21, Jesus declares that the world's refusal to know Him indicates a deep spiritual ignorance. This lack of knowledge about God translates into hostility towards those who follow Him. Many in the world profess some belief in God but do not acknowledge or submit to the God revealed in Scripture. Consequently, they are unable to appreciate the fullness of the Gospel, leading them to persecute those who faithfully represent Christ. This failure to recognize God’s true nature fuels a culture that thrives on lies and rejects the light of truth that the Gospel brings.
