Answered in 1 source

Doing the works of Christ means living out the commands and example of Jesus in love and service to others.

To do the works of Christ signifies following His model of service, love, and obedience to the Father’s will. In John 14:15, Jesus says, 'If you love me, you will keep my commandments.' This keeps the focus on active demonstration of faith through good works, which is a hallmark of true belief. The works of Christ demonstrate love for others; they include serving one another, evangelizing, and showing compassion. It calls for a life that reflects the character and mission of Jesus, which is love-driven and intended for the glory of God. Furthermore, as the believer engages in these works, they do so empowered by the Holy Spirit, showcasing a clear relationship with Christ.
