What does it mean to have faith like a child in relation to worship?

Answered in 1 source

Having faith like a child means approaching God with simplicity, sincerity, and a willingness to accept truth without pride.

Jesus taught that to enter the kingdom of heaven, one must receive it like a child (Matthew 18:3). This means that believers should approach God with humility, simplicity, and a sincere heart. Childlike faith is exemplified in the way that children openly express truths they have perceived, unhampered by the pride or complexities that often hinder adults. In worship, this perspective allows believers to speak boldly about Christ and acknowledge their dependence on Him for strength, which aligns with how God ordained praise from the mouths of babes (Matthew 21:16). Thus, worship becomes a joyful acknowledgment of God’s work in our lives, free from the cynicism that can accompany adult understanding.
