What does the Bible say about children coming to Jesus?

Answered in 3 sources

The Bible teaches that Jesus welcomes children, indicating that the kingdom of God belongs to those who come to Him with childlike faith (Mark 10:14-15).

In Mark 10:13-16, we see parents bringing their young children to Jesus so that He would bless them. The disciples, believing they were protecting Jesus' time and importance, rebuked the parents. However, Jesus expressed His displeasure towards His disciples for hindering the children from coming to Him. He sternly stated, 'Suffer the little children to come unto me; for of such is the kingdom of God' (Mark 10:14). This passage illustrates that children hold a special place in the eyes of Christ and are emblematic of the humility and trust that is necessary to enter God's kingdom. The invitation of Jesus to the little children underscores not only His love and compassion but also the nature of faith required of all who would enter into a relationship with Him.
