What does the Bible say about Christ as our mediator?

Answered in 12 sources

The Bible teaches that Christ is the new mediator who fulfilled the covenant and made it possible for believers to have a relationship with God.

The Scriptures illustrate Christ as the new mediator as seen in Hebrews 12:24, where He is referred to as the mediator of the new covenant. Unlike Moses, who served as the mediator of the law, Christ fulfilled the law's requirements perfectly. Through His sacrifice, He established a new covenant, allowing believers to approach God not by works but by faith in Him. As a result, we have a relationship with God based on grace rather than our efforts to keep the law, which we inevitably fail at, as emphasized in Exodus 24, picturing our need for a mediator who fulfills these promises.
