What does the Bible say about spiritual bondage?

Spiritual bondage is a crucial theme in Scripture, particularly in John 8:32-34, where Jesus clarifies that everyone who sins is a servant of sin. This bondage means that humankind is enslaved to iniquity and cannot liberate themselves. Without the intervention of Christ, who offers redemption and freedom through His death and resurrection, we remain trapped in this state of sin and rebellion against God.
