What does the Bible say about the blessed man?

Answered in 8 sources

The Bible describes the blessed man as one who fears the Lord and delights in His commandments, ultimately pointing to Christ as the blessed man.

Psalm 112 begins with a call to praise the Lord, stating, 'Blessed is the man that feareth the Lord, that delighteth greatly in his commandments.' This description can ultimately be understood as referring to our Lord Jesus Christ, who is the only man who fully exemplifies these qualities. He perfectly feared and revered the Lord, obeying the law not out of obligation but out of delight. It is through Christ that believers can also claim to be blessed because all blessings in heaven and earth are found in Him. By God's grace, we share in this blessing through our union with Christ.
