What does the Bible say about the condition of man?

Answered in 2 sources

The Bible teaches that all men are sinful and fall short of God's glory, with no one being righteous on their own.

Scripture provides a clear portrait of humanity's condition, stating that 'there is none righteous, no, not one' (Romans 3:10). It declares that all have turned aside and together become unprofitable (Romans 3:12). The gospel reveals that man inherently seeks his own pleasure and glory, devoid of genuine pursuit of God. This sinful nature leaves humanity broken and guilty before the holiness of God. The consequences of sin are grim, and only through recognition of this state can one grasp the need for a Savior. Job’s acknowledgment of his own unworthiness before God serves as a sobering reminder of our human condition.
