What does the Bible say about the end of the world?

Answered in 17 sources

The Bible teaches that the end of the world will come with wars, conflicts, and divine judgment, but believers have hope in Christ's return and ultimate victory.

Scripture is not silent about the end of the world; it offers stark warnings and prophecies, as seen in Matthew 24. The Lord spoke through prophets like Daniel, Ezekiel, and others about the conflicts and sorrows that would characterize this age before the end arrives. Jesus Himself reassures us that although there will be wars and troubles, believers are not to be troubled, for He has overcome the world. The end, therefore, is not merely destruction but the culmination of God's redemptive plan, culminating in the return of Christ, bringing eternal peace and joy to His people.
